What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?

Ok, so in true high school fashion, I decided to skip out on the bar hopping and instead head out to the movie theater for a scaarrrryyyy movie. My friends and I even brought a little bit of vodka to spice up those drinks (just like when we were 16!).

We decided to hit up the new Scream 4 movie. It definitely stayed true to the original Scream movie and I have to say I loved it. The movie starts out as any Scream movie: the murder of two young girls sitting alone in their house watching a movie. The movie has all the cliches of the last 3 Screams. The girls end up running in the wrong directions, up the stairs instead of out the door. And you can't help but yelling at the screen "don't open that door!!!"

After the girls are murdered the audience finds out hat Sydney Prescott  (Neve Campbell) has just written a book and it back in town doing a book tour. Her return causes someone to SNAP and sends them on a killing spree. But this time it's different. The killer is a copy-cat and is replicating the events of the first movie, scene by scene. It's a Scream REBOOT. And although it does do the first movie justice, it has definitely become more gruesome: more bloods and guts! I LOVED IT. It's definitely a movie to see if you need a good laugh and a good scream. It's playing at the Rideau Mall cinema if anyone is interested in a good scream.

Are you going to see the movie?
