Signs of spring mean buds on trees and crocuses pushing out of the ground. It's also seasonal snack bars opening and stores putting their goods outside. Last Saturday I drove around the area looking to see what was going on.
The Farmer's Daughter serves wonderful hamburgers and home cut fries.
Their selection of soft and hard ice cream is so extensive it takes me forever to decide what's for dessert.
This Saratoga Springs, New York business has been here a long time. 
I know it's spring when the local hardware store puts out its selection of plastic Adirondack chairs.

The Lampshade Lady, Judy Sawyer Lake, has her door open today. Such pretty fabrics and handmade lampshades on the table on the porch.

Then on to the bookstore in Manchester Center, Vermont. Such colorful cookbooks.
Mysteries set in Scandinavian countries. 
A display of British mysteries. Is that dripping blood and a gun? Yes, paper blood and a squirt gun. Time to go home and read.
