I am part of the Masters International Development and Globalization Student Association and last night we threw an amazing networking party that connected both professionals and students together. I spearheaded the project and was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. We had 13 different professionals come to our event (including people from CIDA, North-South Institute and a couple of private companies). Everyone seemed to love it in the end!
I read somewhere (although I do not remember where) that women are taken more seriously when they have their hair up (or short) and wear pants. I unfortunately do not own fancy pants so I opted for a chic black dress.
