Walk the Truth

I recently wrote an article about Walk the Truth which was a charity gala that closed Ottawa Fashion Week. This charity fashion show, in partnership with Ottawa Fashion Week, is the result of the collaboration between two different sectors coming together for a common goal. The gala centers around on of AC-AF's arts campaigns involving youth titled "Say What You Mean, Mean What you Say.... About HIV and AIDS." Who are AC-AF? They are a unique organization that aims to provide sustainable grassroots solutions to the orphan crisis. It is the first known organization in the world that provide micro-credit loans directly to youth under the age of 18, as part of its holistic support programming. 

Many different designers (and local Ottawa celebrities) donated their time and designs for the gala. Some local celebrities include: KennyB and Jenni from Hot 89.9, singer and actress Cory Lee and Rogers' Daytime TL. I got to stand right besides the photographers and I got some cool shots from the runway! After the show I even took a couple of pictures on the runway with some models. Oh la la.
