Exuberance is Beauty

This weekend EF Magazine founder Malorie and I got to head over to interview an amazing Ottawa woman entrepreneur: Jodi Fedor.

Who is Jodie Fedor?

She is the founder of Exuberance a holistic beauty company that celebrates and supports all the elements that make women look and feel beautiful.

I have been struggling with bad skin for most of my life. At the age of 23 (almost 24!) I still get localized breakouts on my face. In my desperation, I have tried almost every product out there.... Proactive, Neutrogena, Clean & Clear, Roche Possay, Spectro Jel (the list goes on and on)

At the moment I use Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control System. I have to admit that it does seem to work. But every time I wash my face with the cleanser, my face starts to sting. Then my skin feels like it is dry and stretched out - the discomfort forces me to apply a heaping amount of moisturizer on my face. A quick check at the ingredients unearths a large list of names that I can not (for the life of me) pronounce! Isoparafin? Benzalkonium Chloride? Butylene Glycol? Alkyl Benzoate? Then I start to question: are these products safe? I have been trying very hard to jump on the organic & natural bandwagon. I switched to organic shampoo and conditioner - I even tried natural deodorant (although all the ones I have tried have completely failed me!). Now it is time to switch to face care.
