Mystic Seaport: The Museum of America & The Sea holds several summer camps which are week long
sailing schools for kids as young as 10. The museum is located on the Mystic River in eastern Connecticut. We visited on a clear sunny summer day and I took lots of pictures with my Holga cameras.

The kids sleeping bags are stored on the dock during the day. To my mind the best part of the sailing school is getting to sleep aboard the Joseph Conrad. The ship is open to tourists during the day so the kids leave their sleeping gear in an area on the dock.
