What was I thinking?!

I just bought a pair of impossible sandals from Prada. I don't even know if I'll be able to walk in them. My biggest fear is that I'll twist my ankle trying to walk in them. Now that would be embarrassing...

They are nice looking, though, aren't they? 

Cheap shoes

There are some things in life that I do not understand.

Usually, more expensive = better quality (= more comfortable).
However, when it comes to shoes, my experience has been: cheap = comfortable!

For example, my Prada heels (see here) are pretty to look at but hurt soon after I've put them on and I can hardly walk in them. But these cheap shoes from H+M are so comfy, I can walk in them all day. I got them in black and brown, and I feel like getting back-ups, that's how impressed I am. I can't believe it! I had no idea. Have you ever tried H+M shoes?

Manolos for Less

I was lingering around the stores in Square One when I decided to enter into Browns. I can't help it! I don't have any money, but at least I can stare longingly at the beautiful shoes and pick out the ones I would buy if I had ANY money. Moving on... As I was window shopping, I noticed a familiar shoe but not a familiar name. It looked like the the Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby silver shoe from Sex in the City! Remember, in the episode "A Woman's Right to Shoes" Carrie is forced to take off her Manolos only to realize that someone had stole them!

Unfortunately, the price tag for these beauties is a whooping $715.00 dollars. But don't despair! Browns has come out with a shockingly similar pair of shoes, that made me do a double take in the store. This said shoe is from their own line, Brown's ID and will only run you around $158 dollars (plus shipping). There are NO Brown stores in Ottawa (eurgh, when will this city start catching up!) but Brown's DOES offer a flat rate shipping rate of only $5 dollars! Here are the two shoes side by side. Obviously there are some differences, but the similarities are uncanny! 

Would YOU buy a knock-off version of these Manolos? Or would you wait until you could get the real thing? 

Shoe-a-holic: Balenciaga

Balenciaga. Although I have a frightfully hard time pronouncing the name, I have to applaud the line for creating amazing shoes that are so creative and cutting edge. Many might look at these shoes and cringe, but I think they are a work of art. BRAVO! If only I had the money to purchase these fabulous shoes. Yet I feel like I would have a VERY hard time trying to strut down the streets of Ottawa in these sky-high heels. Maybe one day I'll have the chance to try it out. Enjoy these beautiful heels!

Bass Down Low

If you want to get with me there are some things you need to know. I like my  beats fast and my bass down low. 

Can I get a little goose in my OJ?

Dev is fabulous. I love the song "Bass Down Low" - I think my neighbors are sick of hearing the song on repeat (I am also guilty of cranking up the bass on my sub-woofers). The beat is awesome, the girl is hardcore annndddddddd her shoes are to DIE FOR! I do not know how heavy those bad boys are (or who makes them) but they are definitely on my wish list. 

Anyone know who makes them?

TOMS Shoes for Valentine's Day

With Valentine’s Day coming up, why not give a stylish Valentine's Day gift that gives back?

Prada love

It was love at first sight. I saw this pair of beige-blush heels and I just had to have them!

I love the girly ribbon detail, the colour (nude shoes are my favourite), and the fact that the heels are not too high. Just looking at these shoes makes me happy!

And I found a silk top (on sale) and a cute belt... also from Prada.

Obsessed with Uggs

I am a big fan of Ugg boots! I wear mine every winter; I can't live without them. I have a pair of the classic ones and they are so warm and comfortable, my feet worship them. They are ugly, though, I will admit. So I was thrilled when I saw that there are some fashionable Uggs out there now!

I am beyond obsessed with these lovely clog-type boots. I mean, they are warm, comfortable and stylish... so what more could I ask for? Dream boots! I got myself a pair asap.
