TOUS finds another model

Songstress and American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez has become the model for the spring 2011 campaign from jewelry label, TOUS. Lensed by Ellen von Unwerth, the Eastern inspired imagery offers up a bevy of colorful looks. Although the colors are beautiful, I have to say that the company seems to have ditched their bags to focus on their jewellery collection. The close-ups of Jennifer Lopez can not beat the intricate and original campaign shots that were taken of Kylie Minogue. I was a little disappointed at the lack of originality in these shots as there is no background, no bags and no pizzazz! The bags are the best part of TOUS (I love the designs and the softness of the leather). If you want to compare some stills from their last two campaigns, click here. This year they replaced Kylie with Jennifer Lopez and although the Latina looks amazing in all the shoots, I still feel as if it lacks a certain je ne sais quoi. I think it's the blah backdrops. Could they not think of anything else other than pink and blue?! Check out the campaign shots below:

TOUS started out in 1920 as a family-owned repair shop company in Spain. After a couple of years the owners, Salvador Tous Blavi and his wife Teresa Ponsa Mas, decided to start selling luxurious watches that they already knew how to fix. Today, TOUS (which is French for all) has become an internationally renowned boutique that offers people beautifully designed jewelry, handbags, ties, broaches and custom rings. The boutique is famously known for its iconic bear logo, which has represented the brand since 1985. More recently, the boutique hired Kylie Minogue to represent the brand in a series of new advertisements. People.com reported TOUS Co-President Madame Rosa Oriol saying, to carry off all this radiance and sophistication, we needed the best and for me, that is Kylie Minogue. Kylie certainly didn't disappoint as she has appeared in a number of TOUS advertisements looking absolutely gorgeous.

Since the 1920s, TOUS has certainly exploded onto the world market. There are almost 400 stores in a total of 42 countries. Even though their jewelry is chic, their bags are out of this world. Not only are they stylish, but the design allows for maximum usage.

I have been carrying around a TOUS bag for the past 4 years, and I can't believe how versatile it is. Not only is it stylish, as it goes with every single outfit, but the interior is so large and roomy. With a TOUS bag I realized that any woman can fit all her must have items in their purse and have room to spare!
