Show Me Your Teeth

It’s that time again boys and girls! It’s SHARK WEEK. Shark Week is cable television’s longest-running programming event. It started back in the 80s and it’s just getting bigger and bigger. I know, I know. How does Shark Week have anything to do with fashion or celebrities? Well, it seems that even after 24 years this amazing program has found yet another way to reinvent itself. The Discovery channel has enlisted the help of Andy Samberg who will be the host and the Chief Shark Officer of this year’s shark festivities. 

The 30 second promo for the show entices viewers with an array of camera shots of huge sharks showing off all their large pearly whites, and includes a shot of a frightened Samberg in what looks like an old school scuba outfit. But what’s even better about the promo is that the theme song is non-other but Lady Gaga’s song, “Show Me Your Teeth.” Fitting, non? Come on sharks; show us your beautiful grin! 

And to kick of Shark Week, Lady Gaga (intentionally or non-intentionally) wore a very toothy outfit to the View today. She wore an outfit that was head-to-toe houndstooth by Salvatore Ferragamo (with glasses and a piano to match!).
