More Holga photos taken on a recent trip to New York. Living in a rural area it's fun and exciting to visit metropolitan areas and sometimes daunting as I want to photograph everything. This visit was more relaxed than my usual trips as I didn't run around to film festivals and small museums....we just "hung out"...well, I did see two movies...THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO and MOTHER.
I like the pink tights and the colorful skirt.
Sun glasses anyone? Lots of street vendors were out on this warm sunny day.
I like the movement created by the double exposure of the round edges on the building in the upper right corner of this photo.
A regal looking older apartment building.
By the IFC Center. THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD is a very funny and beautifully costumed Korean movie with Song Kang-Ho who was so very good in THIRST. As I'd already seen it and it was the day before mother's day I watched MOTHER. An excellent movie whose main character is a middle-aged woman who would do anything to protect her son from a murder conviction. Maybe not the fare most mother's would like to celebrate the day but I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Side street.
Zara the Spanish owned trendy clothing store.
