Positive Negative Space and Some Chickens

I took these photos last weekend when we had our brief tease of spring weather. It's been dark clouds with intermitent rain the past couple of days. This morning I looked out to under an inch of snow on my car. By the time I drove home the sun was out and nary a trace of the snow remained. But I digress... Last weekend for greater contrast between the tree and sky I stood in front of the big tree to hide the sun.
