Denis Gagnon collaborates with ALDO

In conjunction with the official opening of the Denis Gagnon boutique, scheduled in May 2011, Denis Gagnon and ALDO will be releasing the samples from their Spring/Summer 2011 shoe collaboration to be sold exclusively at the designer’s first stand-alone boutique in Old Montreal. In limited quantities, the samples will be sold for $150.00 per pair.  15% of the total sales will be donated to the Farha Foundation in Montreal.

Since 1985, ALDO has been a major supporter of the fight against AIDS.  Through the “ALDO Fights AIDS” program, ALDO has contributed over $10 million to the cause and has garnered immense celebrity support to raise global awareness.

Denis Gagnon, in collaboration with ALDO, is proud to support a cause dear to him.  Together, to assist outreach programs and research, they have chosen to donate funds to a like-minded organization in Montreal – the Farha Foundation.

Shoe-a-holic: ALDO

I love white in the summer time. I believe that white is the most flattering color ever and was completely thrilled to see that many designers (including Dolce & Gabbana) agreed with me! I even bought that fabulous Micheal Kors bag that is an off white (and I am so excited to rock it in the summer time!). But I almost melted when I saw these Odessa White platform heels in ALDO. Most of the time I am NOT a fan of ALDO (I had a horrible experience with black flats that used to die my feet black!). But I couldn't resist trying them on. The first thing I noticed (and probably why the price is so steep @ $135.00 a pop) was the soft and beautiful leather. As I slipped them on, I realized that they were too small! Dammit. But for anyone looking for some great heels, these additions to your closet will lengthen your legs and add that je-ne-sais-quoi to your outfit!

The shoes come in white and also a light brown color for people who don't like white shoes (because we all know how quickly they can get dirty!)

The shoes can be found at any ALDO store in Ottawa, but go quickly because the size 9 I tried on at Rideau Mall was the last pair! Happy SHOPPING!
