About a month ago, I blogged about a great Canadian label that specialized in the creation of blazers and coats. Smythe was launched in 2004 and in 7 short years these jackets have gained quite the international following. Case in point: Kate Middleton. As the duchess boarded the plane in England to fly over to Canada for our coveted Canada Day, Kate was seen wearing a beautiful navy wool jacket with cream lining and single brass button from Smythe's Fall 2011 collection. The jacket was on sale at Net-a-Porter for $281 (originally it was $595), but it was sold out almost instantly.
Kate paired the jacket with a Mulberry Polly Push Lock bag in midnight shiny grain which retails for $1,300. Overall the look was flawlessly executed and the duchess looked gorgeous as she made her way over to our nation's capital. Although the navy jacket is probably sold out EVERYWHERE by now, you can still check out the website to browse some of their other jackets. For more information about the label, and where you can find some Smythe jackets in Ottawa, click here.
