Local Chili Cook Off - Holga

Twice a year our town has a Chili Cook Off which is sponsered by the local Rotary Club . The contest attracts many participants and tasters. A fee is paid to the Rotary Club and you are given small paper cups which are used to sample the many chili entries. You then vote for your favorite. Spicy kim chee chili, vegetarian chili, chili served with chocolate chip cookies were some of this years offerings. Chili is short for chili con carne and everyone I know makes it slightly differently. Participants set up pots of chili along both sides of the Main Street and people walk along tasting, talking, and having a fun time. Everyone has their opinion of which chili is best.

I shot fujichrome film in my Holga which I had cross processed when developed. I also used a clear plastic tape mask to add texture.
