Winter Trip

The train is my preferred means of transportation when I travel to New York. The scenery along the Hudson River is interesting no matter what the season. This winter has been cold and stormy so it was fun to see the ice in the river and the snow along side the train tracks. Visiting New York means I get to eat at Gahm Mi Oak my favorite Korean restaurant.



The ice on the river is chunky. Rain the night before left a meringue like glaze on the snow.



Gahm Mi Oak interior thru a glass clearly- groan, groan.



Their kimchi is the best!



My favorite dish - yook hwe. Sliced raw beef, sliced Asian pears, sesame seeds, raw egg, lots of garlic all seasoned with pear juice and gammeeok's special sauce. The raw egg comes in the flower petal carved cucumber and is mixed into the yook hwe.
