We've had so many storms this winter I can't remember after which storm I took the below photos. Most were taken in Whitehall, New York as I like the buildings along the canal at the end of Lake Champlain.
A double exposure of ice formations on a rock ledge beside a road in Whitehall and the red cider house in Granville which I've photographed before. The ice formations are on their side in the photo and if you turn you head you can see how they hang down and touch the road.
I took this standing on a bridge over the canal. I like how dark blue the water looks with the ice beginning for form on it.
A double exposure taken from a snow bank on the opposite side of the canal from the buildings. I then took a picture of the sidewalk I was standing on. The texture is from the gravel put down on the sidewalk to keep one from slipping. I like how in the double exposure the gravel on the sidewalk obscures the snow covered hill behind the buildings so it looks more like spring or fall.
A slushy side road . I took this from my car and one can see its hood in the bottom of the photo. The dirty tan snow was so wet that every time a car went by slush flew up in the air and I didn't want it splashing on my Holga or me so I stayed in my car.
